Best place to put pics on the net?

Usually Geocities worked okay for me, but last night I spent three hours trying to update stuff and unfreeze my wonderful windows machine. so I’m moving on (not from windows, I’m to cheap to do that) from yahoo, where else can I post my wonderful photos of stuff for zip, zilch, nada casharoo? Any fave’s?

try www.http://villagephotos.com

hopefully the link works. I haven’t seemed to master that as well as the bishop!

how the f*ck did you get your links to come through?

Somebody here recommended this one to me.

hpphoto.com

Seems to work pretty good.Best of all it’s free. Ya I’m cheap.

Then… when you post your see the chainlink icon above the input box. Use that.

How come I never have to use that chainlink thing? I just type the URL and it automatically appears as a hyperlink.

As long as your profile setting is ADVANCED EDITOR, you don’t need the chainlink thing!

Unfortunately, HPPHOTO’s changing the policy related to linking pictures to FORUMS/auctions!

This is from an e-mail I got a couple days ago:

"HP Photo is revising a few terms of service. The following changes will help us better focus on the HP Photo benefits members have told us are most important.

· Effective April 26, 2004, links from HP Photo to other sites such as auction sites and community discussion boards will no longer be allowed. Please check with the site that you are interested in linking your photos to in order to determine the most appropriate method of including photos with your posting."

Most internet service providers include web space as part of your service. Usually 10mb or so. Check you ISP website for the features your paying for.

Dude. Stop being a cheapskate

Get yourself a domain name from GoDaddy.com for a measly $8.95/year:

http://www.godaddy.com

Then go get yourself a reseller hosting package from Buzhost.com for a little as $2.99/month (you’ll probably need more bandwidth if you wanna post your pic links to slowtwitch though)

http://buzhost.com/resellers.html

There. Everything you need to get yourself a website up and running.

Learn a little HTML, and how to configure the buzhost admin interface and you’ll be in business for as little as $12.

Can’t afford $12? Where do you access slowtwitch, at free library internet?

http://www.fotki.com

UNLIMITED storage for $30/year.

FWIW, you need to use IE to get some of the posting features to work correctly. I usually use Firefox as my browser and the advanced editing features don’t show up in my browser.
