Wheres the best place to buy discounted running shoes online in the UK? (Besides Amazon UK?)
Friend of mine going over next week and has offered to bring a pair back for me.
I use Start Fitness and have them shipped to Australia. Can be a lot cheaper than buying locally.
SF also has plenty of discount codes to use.

IME the UK seems to be stuck in some weird netherworld with regard to running shoes.
The US and mainland Europe seem to have new models about 6 months earlier than UK-based retailers and when they do finally come in to stock they’ll be full retail price for a good few months. This may come as a shock to most US-based readers, but in the UK you rarely pay full manufacturer retail price for anything except pre-orders*; *even most newly released products are available with a 10+% discount as soon as they’re widely stocked, due to the highly-competitive nature of the retail market and I think that’s only fair for consumers given that we usually get screwed over with the MSRP conversion from $ or € to £.
As a result, if you’re looking to pick up some cheap shoes, you’ll probably want to be looking at last-season’s models; I seem to always be buying and running in shoes that are full season out of date compared to the rest of the world unless you’re willing to shell out £100+ per pair. You have to shop around to find somewhere with appropriate stock, but Start Fitness, SportsShoes.com and Sweatshop are good places to start for good value. Sometimes you can get lucky and find some good deals on the cycling retailers such as Wiggle, Chain Reaction Cycles and Sigma Sport, but they often seem to buy a lot of shoes and once they’re gone they’re gone, no restocking.
It can feel like a bit of a treasure hunt trying to find new running shoes without paying full-whack, so good luck!

The only actual .uk site I might use is Amazon.co.uk. Other than that runnerinn (I think they’re actually in the Netherlands) and runningwarehouse.eu.
