Best nutrition bar: taste and composition

Hello

I would like to know your habits concerning nutrition bar.
Which one are you using regularly (not during racing or training) ?
I really would like to know which bars do you consider healthy and good tasting ?

What about
Kind ?
Zing ?

Thanks a lot

If I am stopping at the stop and just need something quick and pocket-able, I typically choose a Breeze Bar. Else, I use “food”.

Ok never heard about it but it seems to be really good.
I will check asap

Thanks

Graham crackers. Extra points for the chocolate ones.

I’ve started using Powerbar again. They now have a system 1-2-3. 3 being after exercise. They are fantastic! They also come in 10,20,30 grams of protein. Great flavors.

If I have to use one, Quest Bar is the best all around IMO…

I really like these bars, local company, all natural, gluten free, soy free, protein rich.

Picky bars are my favorite.

Dark chocolate and sea salt Kind bar. I could eat them all day long.

I’m actually not big on bars. I generally use liquid nutrition on the bike, maybe some chomps and if I’m looking for protein I’ll eat some jerky about 2/3rds of the way into the ride. Back it up with some salt tabs and a gootube with liquid honey in it so I’m getting glucose from a couple of different sources.

You mean best fake food???

Hands down - Julie Bars. Local company out of Tucson, AZ http://www.juliebar.com
They have 5 or less ingredients (depending on the flavor) and are gluten free dairy free. I LOVE Mt. Lemmon poppyseed!!

I’ve also carried salted perogies, it’s the easiest thing to find in a store that’s close to salty potato balls. I do have the occasional Clif bar but that’s because that’s all that’s available in the metropolis I live in.

Picky bars are my favorite.

I’ll second this.

If I’m on a really long ride I’ll stop at a gas station and get a hostess fruit pie and some gatorade+water.

470 calories for about a $1 is a fairly decent price, so much less than bars. I have been eating those powerbars after workouts when I can’t eat lunch or dinner afterwards. They are about the only ones I can choke down.

Nathan’s are my choice and if I want a little extra protein, I’ll top them with Hormel. I don’t consider them healthy, but they sure are good tasting!

I have become a bonk breaker fan. The new coconut cashew is yummy.

I’m pretty picky when it comes to these things, and that’s why I suggest www.pickybar.com
.

Thanks a lot
I will order some of it to try because in France we don t have a lot of good “nutrition” bar.
So:
Breeze
Picky bar
ZIng
Julie bar

i found i have this strange ability to be able to grab a handful of nuts, and a handful of dried fruit and put them in my mouth at the same time, and then i chew, so i dont need a company to put nuts and dried fruit in a food processor for me and then sell them to me at a much higher price, i guess i’m extraordinary that way
