For me nothing better than a little Steely Dan or Greatful Dead after a big night out. What’s your choice?
“Big night out”
I’m not sure the last night I went out.
And no I don’t have a family and yes, I’m single and yes, it’s somewhat sad.
I’m sure it was only big in my mind ![]()

This is a triathlon forum I dont think we talk about partying here…![]()

In the SJ/SF area there’s a local rock station that plays an unplugged/acoustic Sunday morning show until about 11:00. It’s great because you get to hear versions of songs that have been archived and typically never get any airplay. Anyone can hide behind feedback, amps, etc. It takes a real musician to go “unplugged”.
Miguel in the 'No…El Tribato.
OMG. if someone played either Steely Dan or the Dead while I was hung over, i would be forced to ram pencils up my nose and into my ears until i jabbed my brain and fucking killed myself. This is assuming i dont have the energy to kill them first.
That would be KFOG 104.5.
Or, www.kfog.com to get online streaming.
Hard night partying? Been there, done that. No thanks. Well, maybe on March 6th.

Good choice, a little Chopin with my bagel…
Finally a topic for which I know that I have more experience than anyone else on here!
Talk about Hair of the Dog, how can you fire up music that takes you right back to the night before. I listen to Steely Dan in preparation for the evening to come and the Grateful Dead during the evening of excess.
The next morning has to be something to help you get back into a good mindset. Modeski, Martin, and Wood. Bela Fleck. Mark Knopfler, Solo Trey Anastasio.
Or if it was a really big one, and you need a morning pick me up - some early Stones or Stevie Wonder. On into Sunday night? John Lee Hooker. The new clapton disc me and Robert Johnson.
That is a real shame that good music makes you want to kill yourself.
I cant believe the amount of you guys and gals that dont go out, but after a night out the only thing I can handle is a big cup o joe and some ESPN. Hey Keri where do you reside at???
Heavy D! I’m in San Diego!! ![]()
I enjoy Nick Drake or The Shins

I can’t believe that no one has mentioned Mile Davis’ Kind of Blue - the ultimate hangover album.
BTW, triyoshows, I like your taste in tunes (with the exception of Steely Dan - sorry)
Right on Desert Dude! Enough talk of the pu$$y music! When I’m in said condition, I need something to pick me up, not pull me back into deep slumber.
