Genius!
So basically a list of Starbucks? At least that’s how it looks in Dallas.
Not in my area. There are gas stations and malls marked as well as Starbucks. You can add to the list yourself. It is a Wiki style. Very cool once people start adding stuff.
Why would someone carry an iphone while training?
I always carry my cell for safety reasons. And, it has my music on it.
Many people cary a cell phone while training anyway (in case you have a critical mechnaical, family emergency, etc.), and the iPhone has great free apps like TrailGuru that use the GPS in the phone to give you speed & distance. Some people will listen to music on it (depends how safe you feel doing this).
Does it show every tree or bush?
Does it show every tree or bush?
It only shows tree and bush if you use the camera feature.
Was looking at iPhones. They have no insurance plan, no accident plan, no replacement plan…and no customer out of me. It is not if, but when I would break it. No freaking way I am going to pay Apple over and over for hardware that every other company offers an insurance plan on.

I also carry mine for emergencies and in case I get lost on the longer bike rides.

Whatever phone companies you have in your country must SUCK
iphone comes with 1 year warranty, same as any other phone. difference is, your phone stuffs up with any other company, you take it to the phone store you bought it from, they send it to a service centre and you’re without your phone for several weeks. iphone you take it to the genius bar in an apple store, if there is something wrong with it they hand you a new one on the spot. there is you replacement plan.
accident plan? you want someone to hand you a new phone cuz you dropped your phone in the toilet? i know in australia the phone company, eg vodafone, provides insurance you can pay for each month that lets you get a new replacement cheap if you do this.
i dont know what phone companies in your country do.
i just find it funny you say this like Apple is trying to take your money, when i know in Australia its the opposite. I bought a Sony Ericsson C905, a month later it had stuffed up, and it got sent to service centre. four weeks later…still no phone. a phone i am paying for by the month.
if id bought an iphone, i would have had a new one 4 weeks ago.
how do i know this? i work for apple
dont i feel like a goose now for not supporting my companies product.
I have one of the old iphones, and I love it. 14 months plus and it’s still going strong. Just yesterday, I got myself lost on the bike, had to pull up google maps and trace my way home.
I’ve never purchased an equipment replacement plan for a phone, as the deductibles are usually so high that you’re throwing money away if you don’t break the phone in the first three months (eg, $100 phone, $8/month replacement plan with $60 deductible).

+1 on the old iphone… and the getting lost!
I was out of town on a long run (14 miles or so) and at least twice had to pull out the maps to see where I was supposed to turn.

I am glad you like AUSTRALIA you country and by the way I hope you stay there, and if you flush your iphone down the toilet which way does it spin.
Insurance is a sucker bet. They’re doing you a favor.
here’s another one, though only useful with the 3G iPhone.

ok…that was pretty vicious considering i just corrected him on his misconceptions regarding the iphone, and explained how it worked with phone companies in the country i live in…
…from that you turn it into a ‘well why dont you stay there then’ comment?
thanks, i will stay here, especially if it means not being anywhere near YOU
It sounds like you’ve got some great customer service over there in Australia. Over here in the states (I drive past apple’s campus in cupertino to get to some workouts) Apple gives us the middle finger every chance they get, unless you can demonstrate that in fact their product was at fault, then they’re very helpful.
Either way, writing a flowery review of any product then mentioning you work for the manufacturer hurts your credibility.

No worse than it hurts Tom D’s credibility each time he reviews a product he is selling…
