Alright, let’s have 'em. Location, time, and number of IM’s done before your best. Splits too.

Well done to you in your first IM !!

Goodness gracious that seems like a lifetime ago! Like it’s somehow disconnected from reality.
Fleck

im usa 04: s:1:16 b: 5:58 r:4:03 - 11:27:xx
Geeze! We have some fast folks here…and, my goodness, some really greatr 1st IMs!!!
I have done 12 IMs (so far): IMNZ, IMC x 4, IMH x 3, IME (Roth ) x 4 + 1 in '89 at a shorter distance.
Best is 10.31…6 times under 11 hrs.
Yes… we need to work on our swim! ![]()
IM-Moo 2002

swim : 1:16:51 2:02
Bike : 5:10:30 34.8
Run : 3:54:16 5:34
Planning to beat that at IM Lanzarote in May!
I will have to post for the slow guys. Two Ironmans both IMC. Best was 2004 as part of Cops for Cancer.
11:56 1:06, 5:48, 4:50 (yes I need a lot of work on the run).
15 IMs under my belt including 3xIM Hawaii.
Best time was IM Florida in 2000: 10:19:48 - S 1:11, B 5:14, R 3:47 ( I did have a disavantage against the young kids - I was 3 months shy of my 50th birthday)
11 Total.
Fastest was IMC 95: 56 min swim, 5:17 bike, 4:07 run, 5 min of transitions, 10:25. Although this was a PB time it was a horrible meltdown on the run as I had done the race sick and could not digest any food. I was hoping to run sub 3:40…shoulda coulda woulda ![]()
My best was LP 1999: 62, 5:41, 3:45, for a 10:36 including those outrageously long transitions at LP. The best part was that I finished strong coming back from the final run turnaround. I did this race with only two rides of 180k. All my other rides were 90K hard or less. I was also doing leg weights for 15 min after every run until 10 days before the race.
IMFL 2003 12:28. 1:20ish, 5:50ish, 4:50ish, lots of time in T1, T2. I was actually glad to be running during the dark, since there was a full lunar eclipse. Race was nice, and I beat my goal time (13), but more satisfying (to me) was starting the Ironwishes.org foundation that has raised about $200k for Make A Wish through participation by more than 40 IM triathletes.
I’ve done a bunch.
They tend to be in the 6 1/2 - 7 hour range.
Then I roll over and get out of bed.
My first - Kona 1991, 1:06 swim, 5:30 bike, 4:23 run for a 11:05 total.
