Best convenience store food

Karl Marx and Friedrich Engels
Came to the checkout at the 7-11
Marx was skint, but he had sense
Engels lent him the necessary pence

Yinz are better off

There are Sheetz in VA. You’re not missing much.

Compared to Wawa’s, I’d say Wawas are cleaner than Sheetz’s. Maybe because they seem to be newer.

No Sheetz?

Kum & Go might be changing their name, but Sheetz will be around forever.

The only Sheetz I’ve been to was in Lancaster and it was really new.

There’s one Sheetz in Michigan, across 94 from DTW. They are planning on opening 50-60 in the next 6 years! Broke ground in April on another Romulus store and building 3 more in metro Detroit.

I still prefer Wawa by a large margin. And Cumberland Farms is a poor knock off - literally when we were designing the new stores, they were chasing the Wawa model.

Timely article (sadly behind a paywall).

When I was a kid in CT, early 70s, there was only Cumberland Farms. Just before we moved to South Jersey, a 7-11 opened nearby

When we did move to South Jersey, we had a choice of three “Sevs” in town; one near home, one on the way to school, and a third one a bike ride away in the opposite direction from school (actually in Cherry Hill, but close enough that we’d hang out there, too)

Never ate from 7-11, though; except candy, chips, TastyKakes, and Slurpees

Spam Musubi where ever they are served.

I posted a free link to this yesterday…

Right you are. Sometimes posts and emails are like leaves in a forest. Beautiful those they are once they get covered up they are often forgotten about.

Now now, it’s “yuins” and Sheetz is a local Altoona Pa. outfit grown out beyond the state. Not quite Wawa best but never a bad call for a toasted sandwich.

Ok, I waited most of a week

Wawa.

But, every now and then I swing by the Royal Farms on 3 for some gas station fried chicken!

Forgot to add - it’s pronounced “Cummerlin”

Cumbies

The only convenience store I know of that carries Boost slushies.

That’s a huge win.
