Best clothes dryer

The GE I have has never been decent (2-3 times needed to dry towels). And yes, I made them come out and look at it, but in looking at reviews that’s one of the complaints. A couple of years ago the dryer knob broke and the repair guy was able to stick another one on there which gave me two more years, but now it’s completely given up the ghost. It’s 6 years old but I say screw it, and I’m going to get a new one. Actually I’ll probably get the matching washer too.

What do you have that you like and works without having to run it 2-3 times to dry the damn towels?

Make sure the vent is clear of debris all the way through. A new dryer won’t make a difference if it isn’t

Agree, all steel or aluminum. For my old house, I had a dryer vent fan. It was great at helping things dry at lower temperature levels.

Our LG (electric) is 10 years old and no complaints.

I have a whirlpool Cabrio and it’s awesome. Dry towels on the first pass, and it doesn’t destroy clothing.

Interesting little side bar, an acquaintance of mine was telling me how he improved his dryers performance by shortening the vent distance. He went from 20’ to 5’.
