Best Burrito in the country (burrito porn)

Inspired by the Chipotle thread, I’d like to know where to find the best Burrito in the country. And please don’t mention calories or fat grams. No need to spoil what could be a very hot thread.

But, first let me start by saying you are all wrong unless you say Ruben’s in Ojai California.

‘Burritos as Big as your Head’ in Chicago. That was the actual name of the place. I remember (or maybe not) many of nights after 3 AM devouring burritos there when I lived in Chi-Town.

best fucking burrito in the world. last one i bought weighed 3.4 pounds. it’s nearly impossible to eat an entire one in a single sitting (my wife and i often share, and she never finishes her half).

That’s exactly what it’s called. I live in Chicago now. Unfortunately, it’s not quite as tasty when sober.

Not in the Country and not a burrito, but the fish taco’s that you get at the wharf down in Ensenada, in Baja Mexico are outstanding! Washed down with a cold Tecate - heaven on earth!

Fleck

I think you might be thinking of La Bamba. They advertise burritos as big as your head. They are awesome. They used to have a location right on State Street in Madison, WI. Every thursday-Saturday night between 1:30-3:00 there was a line out the door. Man, I miss that place.

A tie between “The Original” and the “Burrito Supreme” at Butch’s Beach Burritos in Grand Haven, MI. Deeg of Team Taint fame can attest to the same as he had one last night after our swim workout in Lake Michigan (pics to be posted soon).

We have a LaBamba down in Champaign for the U of I. It is delicious i must say.

The line goes out the door thurs-saturday, drunks are everywhere.

I think there is one at Purdue too.

Southern Californians and Nevadans!

Roberto’s Carne Asada Burritos are the best in the World!

Fleck, get yourself to KB’s in Ketchum, Idaho and sample their fish tacos. I was blown away and think they rival just about anything I’ve tried. I can’t wait to go there in two weeks. And of course get a Bowl of Soul from Java Cafe. Oh, and who can forget Big Wood bread.

Burrito: Chicken Grande, black beans/medium/whole wheat. Grilly’s in Mill Valley, CA. I eat them 4 nights a week.

When I was at UW, I heard there were 2 La Bambas in Champagne-Urbana. That just gave me more reason to hate the univ of Illinois

There was one of those burrito as big as you head places in Dekalb, Illinios. I still wake up at night thinking of those burritos.

Agreeed - I actually much prefer Chipotle to La Bamba, or any of the Lincoln Park places for that matter.

Best burrito I’ve had was at Gordo’s on 9th Ave. in San Francisco. Not enormous, just damn good.

I’m with Fleck (I think)

Borritos have nothing on a good taco made with a hot, hand made, corn tortilla.

Uhhhh…… hand made corn tortillas. (in my best homer)

flour tortillas just aren’t the same.

It’s a different food…apples and naranjas. Best taco is at Taco Loco in Laguna Beach, CA.

Easy…Pork Barbacoa burrito, enchilada style, at Cafe Rio here in SLC.

wahoos fish tacos anywhere and santana’s in san diego
