Can someone recommend what shorts have the best chamois for the aero position. I currently ride in PI Elite shorts which are not too bad but i was wondering if there is something better out there for rides over 2 hours. My saddle is Adamo Road.
For Adamo saddles, thinner pad is better. And well sewn without raised stitches.
Skinfit tri shorts are awesome, but a bit short and come to the mid thigh, but you will never have saddle issues.
I really like the Zoot Ultra Tri 9" shorts and the Performance and Ultra trisuit.
I have tried a lot of shorts over the past 5 years. There are some I really “wanted” to like, but when used for an IM bike ride, killed me. I’m a bit sensitive down there. I find trisuits hold everything in place better, but a good fitting short is just as affective.
I find my Desoto liftfoil suit is about the most comfortable pad I own. I may get a pair of their Rivera shorts just for training, or start using my liftfoil suit, since it’s being retired from racing thsi season anyway.
For TRUE bike shorts, and not tri shorts, I prefer the DeSoto 400 mile BIB short in the aero position. I save my 400’s for the tri bike, and use my Assos shorts for the road bike.
