Days are getting shorter here in Michigan. My morning rides are quickly becoming middle-of-the-night rides.
I’m finding that my little AA battery powered cateye headlight doesn’t do squat.
What’s the best rechargeable, NImH powered headlight for the money.
I know I could spend $400, but I’d rather spend $100 or less.

Charlie,
Just picked up one of these a month ago. Haven’t had any problems with it. Just have to remember to recharge every other day (charger is included).

i have the Light and Motion, ARC HID lamp but that’s around $400, crazy bright white light.
But they have a newer single Luxeon 3watt LED model called the Vega, similar to the Performance model reccomended but smaller and supposedly brighter. Go to www.bikelights.com

Don’t know if these guy(s) is still in business…the website has not been updated in some time it looks like.
I bought one of his first roadie-oriented bar-mounted lights 3-4 years ago, and it’s awesome.
20W focused beam, good for 2-2.5 hours, carbon fiber shell, bottle battery, and smart charger…I think it was just under $200 shipped from Canada.
