Best backpack to run with?

A key feature that has not been mentioned is having compression straps on the pack to cinch down the load so it doesn’t bounce around. I use an Osprey Stratos pack. Very nice for my 5-6 mile commute runs.

Look up.

I don’t own one, but I’ve definitely drooled over pictures of Ergon backpacks:

When I saw your post title, it brought back some serious college memories. My initial thought was, “Backpacks aren’t made to be run with!”

I am looking for a bag/backpack that I can run with. Basically, looking to commute via running 2-3mi each way. Bag will hold a pair of shoes and change of clothes, ect… nothing major. Any Suggestions?
Thanks

I have a black diamond billet pack and use it for almost that exact purpose. Can fit a pair of shoes and change of clothes. Smaller than it looks online. Very light. They make nice stuff.

I use the Osprey Talon 11 and it’s perfect!! A+

I love northfaces and camelbacks to run with stuff
.

I use a Nathan HPL 020 and it’s by far the best I’ve used. It sits up high and does not bounce at all. It’s a hydration pack, but I often remove the bladder for more room. It’s not big enough for shoes, but I just leave mine at work.

I just moved to the UK and was in temp housing. During that time I walked to the office along the Thames and there are TONS of people doing this. Think it is great…dubbed them “rucksack runners.” Not sure if would cause any back problems, but guess that is where the right pack would come in. Careful though, most of the better runners I saw had massive, powerful quads so you may need to get new pants ;). Thanks for the thread as interested in the advice as well.
