I’m doing IM Canada this year, flying out of NYC. I know there are several options (Vancouver, Seattle), but i’m seriously considering flying into Kelowna, which is an hour’s drive from Penticton. Anyone done this? My biggest concern is my bike not making it onto the “prop plane” that goes from Calgary to Kelowna…
calgary to kelowna on a direct flight is on a Jet. so not much of a problem…
The properly plain is still pretty big…but if everyone in it is a triathlete…yep, not all 50 bikes make it to destination.
From NY…fly to spokan or seattle…cheapest option…and a fun 5h drive to penticton with all the construction between kelowna and penticton, the drive can take 2h and more…
We are flying from Washington, DC and flying Virgin Atlantic to Seattle. From there, we will head east towards Spokane and then cut north to the boarder crossing at Osoyoos. The boarder crossing at Vancouver takes too long.
