My Velcro base layer has come loose from my aerobar arm rests. Anyone know of the best adhesive to stick those suckers back onto the metal so they don’t pull up? Thanks.
Did you find anything that works? The velcro on my Profile design Aerolite bars is off and Crazy glue didn’t fix it. 2 sided tape perhaps?
Sorry to revive this old question but a search didn’t turn up anything else on this topic.
rubber cement.
I actually purchased velcro at the hardware store and cut multiple strips and pieced it on the bracket. I made sure that I used the least amount of strips and cut to cover the entire bracket. Once I had it just right I cut out the portions of the velcro tht were covering the openings. It is rock-solid now.
I ended up emailing Profile Design to ask them and they sent me new pads free of charge. What a great company!
Thanks John- worked like a charm

Aww jeez, I went and fixed them before I read your response.
Good to know about the service you received if this happens again.
Brings up another point I’ve been considering. My pads are about 3 years old. Were the replacement pads more comfortable, or do they usually last as long as you use the bars? Do people replace their pads periodically?
I had some of the older oval pads wear down. But the firmer, newer ones with the channels in them have held up a long time so far.
