I think it was censored because the poster could have been liable for the statements.

My view is the poster should have identified himself and not hide behind screen name and possibly right up to the pros in questions and made the accusation face to face (if he had the chance) and not on this forum.
Interesting…what did Belinda have to say? It unfortunate that it got pulled as the accusation was up for a long time and got a lot of views. It’d have been nice if her defense had an equal airing.
The thread in question was up for several days, so the question is - why did it only become objectionable once the accused got involved?

I read the original post as coming from another female pro. I was thinking that the screen name was based on her real name, not that I had ever heard of the screen name or pro before. Color me confused as usual.
I would like to hear what she said as well…sorry I missed it.
Pretty sad. I’ve seen this drafting by female pros for years and now that someone is called on the carpet, it’s gone. So much for a form of open forum. If the poster was liable for issues, then it’s his/her concern, not the forum’s. I say let them sort it out…the accused pros have to defend themselves sometimes, and why not here?

And it’s because of actions like this (pulling a post) that the drafting problem will never go away. This forum has chosen to ignore the problem and make it go away, rather than letting those involved address it…sad.
I would agree so long as the OP identified themselves. But, if you are callng some one out anonymously, I don’t and can’t see much of a difference between the accuser and the accusee.
I agree with Parkito. And additionally, although one would think that a forum owner would be insulated from threats of legal action, in fact they are not insulated from being sued and therefore should be allowed to protect themselves.

She was hurt and deeply offended by the accusations. Said she always keeps the legal distance between the rider in front and behind. Admitted that her and Jo work together but do it completely within the rules, just like the men do. Had a race official riding with the female leaders during the race and they didn’t say anything… Works really had to have a strong bike leg and is saddened by these accusations… Also she knows the OP and understands that he/she has a problem with her but doesn’t understand the need to slander her for the entire world to read…
Of course this is not verbatim so I hope I didn’t misrepresent anything she said…
Thanks for the summary…sucks that there really is no way for her to prove the accusations false. Now I wonder what the accuser’s deal is. In any event, I was pretty surprised the original thread stayed up for as long as it did.
Well, there were a few people on that thread who mentioned things besides the OP. I stand by what I wrote 100%.
one of our admins pulled the thread, i suspect because of the title. but after belinda made her statement, i think it’s probably best to let this run it’s course. it’s informative and topical, though i did think the title inappropriate, so i did edit that. you’ll find the thread somewhere, feel free to revive it.
Thanks for bringing it back… Best for the rest of the board to read her response and get both sides of the story…
