Can anyone recommend some bottle cages that will actually hold a bottle when you hit a bump in the road…these Wisconsin roads are going to be bad this spring, and I need to replace mine with some reliable cages.

Metal cages. Can bend them to be tight (i guess until they break 
) But I have an xlab flatwing with two metal cages, knock wood, trained all last summer/fall for IMAZ, and have about a thousand miles since then, not a single launch
Arundel Mandible carbon cages.
I’ve had good luck with the (aluminum) Tacx Tao cages, mounted to the Tacx saddle bracket. Never lost a bottle in the four or so years I ran that setup.
Out of all the cages I have used the Arundel cages hold bottles the best.
You should check out Dave’s ISM Quick Draw behind the saddle system. Cool as hell, and some users say they love it. Mine’s on the way…
I recommend and love the King Ti and stainless cages. Also the ones with buttons. You want a cage that holds tight but not a death grip. The death grip ones are the ones that seem to eventually eject the bottles after storing all that road vibration.
Just the opposite…I’ve gone through 3 Tao cages as the plastic tab on the bottom keeps breaking from the bottle hitting it just right. It work’s okay with an empty bottle though.
I would recommend avoiding the larger 24oz type bottles as the height and weight seem to be problematic for almost any cage.
I have had good luck with the X-lab Gorilla cages, I have not lost a bottle since I started using them.

Specialized Rib Cage solved all my bottle launching problems. I use only 24oz bottles, and have had no issues since installation on my Flatwing. I, however, have the rubber band model. I just checked the website and it seems the 2009 versions have no rubber bands. Not sure what that does for easy in/out or retention.
