Beer - What some ST'ers knew all along

Screw chocolate milk. I wouldn’t give that shit to my worst enemy… ok maybe my WORST enemy.

Beer. Recovery drink of champions.

Anyone ever do Memphis in may which had a Budweiser truck with taps on the side right at the venue? Classic.

Heck…Bud Light used to sponsor the series…

Personally, Bell’s Oberon…he says downing a Sam’s???

That Budweiser truck, or one of its near relatives, has been at every rugby tournament I’ve ever been in. You want beer? That is the sport for you.

Oh yeah! My local cycling group is called Gears for Beers - seriously! Although, some of us road race and we do sneak in a bottle of the Nestle choc milk after the race - but then, onto better suds!

Out here in Oregon, we basically invented craft brew. Hence, very difficult to avoid the wonderful stuff that the local brew pubs/micro breweries are producing. It’s all really good, and deserves a taste. Brutal if you are trying to cut calories. For example, I went to the Cyclo Cross Gran Prix finals today, held here, classic Oregon winter weather, raining and about 48f, really muddy. Just a gas to watch the national class class riders strut their stuff. EVERYONE, had a bear going. Cow bells, drums and lots of good rowdy fun. You could not get out of there without being swept in to the whole beer culture. Uurp!

Oh Yeah…with Elvis and everything…Gulf Roast did the same…sans Elvis.

I drank a pitcher of Rickards last night, and today I had the best run I’ve had in months. Im convinced.

Beer is a great drink for athletes if it is non-alcoholic. Ever try Nordic or Oduls? Now your talking!
