It makes me wonder if some of the religious stuff is also rubbish. I do not have the expertise to say.
You’re right, the sun does not ever rise under the southern cross, but I watched that part of the movie again, and although it shows the sun rising directly under and onto the crux, the dialogue says only that it appears “near” the crux, and on dec 22-24 the sun is at it’s southern most point, and by definition nearest the southern cross.
I’m sure there’s a lot of crap in the movie, and being that I know little about astronomy and economics, but being a pilot, I have a little more insight into the 9-11 attacks, I can find many holes in the film’s 9-11 theories. I can only assume there are equal holes in the remaining parts of the film. However, I imagine there are bits of truth throughout, and even if portions are true, the amount that the populous is/can be controlled and manipulated is fightening, and depressing to see how little control “the people” have about the actual goings on of the world

My 19 year old son downloaded it and I watched parts of it the other night. I too, learned a great deal about the Federal Reserve bank " as much to do with the federal gov’t as Federal Express" I believe the quote was. Amazing how a few individuals and corporations control the world economy. Interesting analysis of how the towers fell faster than freefall speed and the circumstances surrounding the collapse of building # 7. Fun to watch although I’m sure most of the slowtwitch crowd will dispute every argument made in the film.
Its not just the ST crowd…debunking the 9-11 conspiracy mavens has been done by numerous actual engineers and people who would know (such as the WTC architect). They actually had the architect on a PBS show that talked about how the towers fell. But there is one surefire way to prove that there was no such conspiracy…if the government was so fricking evil as to perpetrate such a thing, why are these folks who are making films and writing books about it still alive to talk about it? Don’t you think they would have been snuffed out rather quickly if what they were saying were true? If the government was so all knowing and all pervasive that it could orchestrate such a thing without anyone knowing about it or staying silent about, I rather doubt that people who knew the “truth” would survive very long…

I’m not saying I buy into all of it or any of it for that matter but there are just enough interesting questions raised to make it worth watching. The fact that most of the ST crowd completely dismisses global warming leads me to believe they won’t like this film. And by the way I think the movie is saying that the central banks and certain wealthy families are behind everything not the U.S. gov’t.

Your defiition of MOST must be a lot different than mine. Please don’t confuse intensity with quantity. A few loud oppossers does not a majority make.
But, I do agree, much of America loves a conspiracy theory, regardless of lack of factual content.
Controlling the economy is an interesting idea, hard to really do though.
Who was in control of the economy when a couple nerds decided to amass a couple billion in wealth by making a cool website? Who was in control when a harvard dropout sold a crapload of software, by just going out and doing it.
I’m liking this video less and less the more I think about it.
