Wow, these officials suck. On both sides of the ball, these guys are worse than the replacement guy from a few seasons ago. Phantom helmet to helmet contact. Phantom piling on. Phantom first downs.

I agree with your call - - so far both teams have help from 2 questionable calls each - so it’s a wash at halftime. Don’t want game to be decided by bad calls 2nd half.
I’m obviously biased, but I think the Bears have gotten screwed. 30yds on two phantom penalties on a Packers drive. A First Down that was obviously not across the line, and a Bears TD that may very well have been over the goal line (it was closer to a TD than the Lacy run was to a First Down).
Poor clock management by the Bears as well, but some really questionable officiating.
there was roughness on a Bear against Packer receiver (Nelson?) - poor call - but I noticed next play was run from where he caught the ball, no yards tacked on. But certainly the officiating has been awful. The other catch by Nelson was not a first down. Regarding that last catch as time ran out - - the experts that chimed in all thought it was a good call - no touchdown. He did not have control of ball when he extended the ball.
Well, there’s another one. Phantom holding, giving GB a fresh set of downs inside the 10.

When both announcers and Mike Perrera (sp?) have to question the calls – multiple times – there is something wrong.

Watch some real football. The NFL and NCAA just don’t entertain me anymore. Personally I catch a good Aussies Rules game whenever I can - nonstop action, hardly any calls, no pads, better entertainment.
Didn’t see this game. But the 49er/Eagles game was pretty bad.
Just one example. Bad “illegal pick” call against the 49er’s on one play. Next play, a phantom call against the Eagles. Troy Aikman said something on air to the effect, “Looks like the refs made a make up call.”
Lots of penalties were called. Quite a few of them led to comments by Aikman and Joe Buck along the lines of, “I didn’t really see anything there.” A tough game to watch.
