Thanks for that link. I was away from tri’s during that time frame but when I came back to ST a year or so ago I was confused about why some of the attitudes towards Tom had become more than a little harsh. Now I know.
I’m in the dark like a few other, but I just did a GIS on the T.D. and the first image was some babe in a bikini. Should I come back to this thread later with some popcorn?
It’s my estimation that per Dan’s guidance in that thread, some of you are WAY out of line here. I’d say grow up, but then I remembered that some of you are definitely already grown up and ought to know better. I’m quite certain none of you have the facts in the situation(s) you allude to and are writing based on half-facts, half-truths, rumors, gossip, innuendo, and other base motives to engage in some serious character assasination, including some heavy-handed sideswipes at Dan and other forum moderators. I think Dan set a pretty good tone in that thread, neither providing complete protection from healthy skepticism and hard questions or on the flip side, allowing unsupported second and third hand trial by internet. Frankly, I’m very surprised at a couple of you. And saddened. If that is the way this community is heading, then I’m going to reconsider whether this is a valuable resource and use of my time any longer. I’ve been around here a long time and have made a lot of great friends on and through ST. I expected the community to change over time…but I expected it to mature…not dissemble what has become a mean-spirited grade-school bully session.
That’s a really cute fine and dandy post, sadly you are misinformed in that some of us actually have very first hand knowledge, I just happened to be a lucky one.
No. I do know that some here have first hand. Others here in this thread do not. I also know that even your first-hand knowledge is only one side of the story. Posting the facts is one thing. Emotional-laden character assassination is something else entirely.
I’ve seen both sides of failed business equations. What I know is that neither party is happy. And neither one wants to be in the situation. And sometimes it takes a long time for things to be made right. In the meantime, a lot of stuff that simply isn’t true often gets said.
I don’t have any insight that is the case here. And I respect your feelings.about the situation, and sympathize with the anger and frustration. But it’s not doing anyone any good to speak about the parts of the situation you don’t have any idea about.
I’m just asking for just a little civility on the forum. And a little respect in this situation for the judgement of our moderator. (who surely doesn’t need me to defend his honor).

That’s his wife (ex-wife?) and Tom loved to post pics of her in skimpy clothing and seemed to get off on the lewd comments that followed.

It’s kind of creepy when a guy posts pics like that of his wife.
Heck, I don’t even know either side of the story. What I do know is some people got screwed. Crap happens in life, but it’s all about how it is handled…
