Bb30 v pf30 cranks

Silva pf30 crank fit a bb30 shell? I understand I would still need the bb30 bottom bracket.

BB30 and PF30 cranks are interchangeable. The width of both BBs is the same, 68mm.

Not entirely correct…

A “standard” BB30 frame has a bottom bracket that is 68mm wide, but other frames that use PF30 BBs can be wider - eg. Cervelo BBright which is 79mm wide IIRC and uses PF30 bearings.

Eg. I have a standard BB30 Sram Force crank, which is 68mm wide and I can use in my BB30 Cannondale. I also have a “BB30” Sram Quarq powermeter crank, which is 78mm wide and fits my BBright Cervelo, but I can also use the Quarq in my Cannodale with an 11m spacer on the NDS.

However, my Force crankset (68mm) will not fit in the Cervelo BBright as it is too short…

Not entirely correct… Your examples doesn’t prove that I’m “not entirely correct.” BBright is not BB30 nor is it PF30, regardless of whether they can use the same 6806 bearing.

BB30 and PF30 cranks are completely interchangeable with each other. They may or may not fit other BB standards.

I was just pointing out that not all BB30 and PF30 cranks are 68mm wide…
