BB30 Adaptor and Q-Factor

Anyone have any experience with BB30 adaptors? I plan on using a Quarq SRAM Red GXP on my Slice with a BB30 bottom bracket. Mechanically it works fine, just curious how much this will change my fit or will I not really notice a difference. I saw a previous post similar to this, but not sure it really addressed fit.

I use the wheels manufacturing BB30 adapters on my BB30 bike with a Sram S900 GXP crank. The Q factor is exactly the same. With this setup the BB30 bearings are inside the BB and the adapters just fill the space that the GXP bearings would usually take between the BB shell and the crank. Just make sure you take any washers or bearing covers off the BB30 bearings before you push the adapters on.

If you use one of the press in sleeves this effectively just converts the bike to a standard BB. Then you screw in GXP bearings/cups and once again have the same Q factor.

I personally prefer the wheels manufacturing adapters as they are easily removable allowing a BB30 crank to be installed. Yes, the sleeve can be removed as well but I don’t trust that nearly as much as it has to be pulled out.
