Hi guys,
A friend and I are heading out at 5:30 AM from Livermore tomorrow for a 100 mile followed by a 12 mile run (back in Livermore). Does anyone have any suggestions on a relatively flat route for tomorrow. We are tentatively planning on riding Tesla/Cross/Flynn/Altamont/Vasco/Livremore/Highland/Tassajara to WC… but could use a good 20+ mile OAB from Rudgear Road area. Thanks in advance.
Also, does anyone know how to turn off the wind?

But I never look to avoid climbing or winds: (and it is quite a challenge to avoid here in the “Bay Area),” - that which doesn’t kill me makes me stronger…
25ish mile OAB (or circuit) from Rudgear Rd. area…Mt. Diablo says “hi”.
Key word is flat… we have been doing nothing but climbing. We are doing Death Ride next week and Vineman Full IM on 8/4.
Wind was a joke… for anyone who lives in Bay Area…
Just cruise down SRV Road and back, then cut over Sycamore Vly Road meeting up with Highland/Manning and back to L’more. That’s about as flat as you’ll get.
Wind? Ha. No kidding.

As ironclm says, your only real flat option from there is san ramon valley blvd. Suburban stoplight to stoplight crawl. You have to go more than 10 miles in one direction from walnut creek for good riding. Seriously, I’d just do diablo up to the junction and down the other side.
