Base/Build question

This week was my first week in my build phase, but also the first week since Thanksgiving that I have been able to run due to ITB problems. Should I just run at a base pace, and swim and ride at build intensity, or should I just run a little harder than base, but not quite at that high build intensity?

Take it easy running for now, and massage and stretch that ITB for the next week or two, then start pushing it a little at a time.

Make sure it’s all better before you start beating on it.
