Has anybody tried or compared the Vision Tech clipons to Syntace C2’s? The Visions come in 4 lengths, and the Syntace only 3. I have previously used size large Syntace (riding in steep position). I’m about 6’0" tall. I’m considering Vision Techs (aluminum) for my new bike. Any advice? I was thinking I’d probably need the 3rd largest size from Vision Tech.

I posted a similar post last week with very little response. I also sent an e-mail to Vision tech with no response.
I have M syntace C2s that fit perfect. My bike came with 230 VT…I know I need at least the 250, and maybe the 270; so, you would be either the 270 or the 290 I would think.
I also find that the VTs “fit” a bit differently and that should figure into the translation somewhere…I am still working on that.

I was using the large Streamliners and now use the medium Vision clipons
The pads on the Vision’s seem to be about 1/2" forward of the Streamliner’s position. Maybe a little bit less
I felt the Trisports measuring guide to be really accurate. If they were too long, you could just saw off a little bit from the end.

I went from Medium C2’s to 250 VT’s. The VT’s are a tad long, but work just fine. Bigest difference was the stack height. The VT’s will put you lower than the C2’s - maybe 5-8mm. If you want the same position, you may have to look at a different stem to make up the difference.
I like the elbow pad position on the VT’s - my knees don’t hit when I climb out of the saddle.
Thanks, I think I’m going to try the 270’s for now. I’d rather be a bit too cramped than too stretched out. I’m getting the aluminum version, so the cost is pretty good too (in case I need to buy a different one).

By my measurement, with elbows hitting the pads the same, the 250s would appear to be shorter than M C2s…what am I missing in the equation?
