I’m going to be honeymooning in Bar Harbor, ME in early June and I was wondering if anyone had any recommendations on places to stay. There are tons of small bed and breakfast places and inns, so an inside scoop on one would be great. I’m looking to stay under $150 a night if possible.

wife and I stayed in a handful of them over the last few years. best one (to my fuzzy recollection) was “Anne’s White Columns” or something like that. It definitely had “white columns” in the name. They had this cool wine and cheese hour every afternoon on top of the traditional breakfast part. we always go after labor day so I can’t be of much help for rates but for out-of-season it was well below $150. Have fun, like I said we’ver stayed at a half dozen places and because we always go so late in the year we would just walk around until we found one that looked cool and then inquire about rooms. I definitely would not recommend that approach during the season though.
Thanks for the reply and I’ll check this inn out. We’ll be there before the peak season, so we should still be able to get some lower rates.
