Bar End Shifters

Two ? 1: why is my shifting on the rear deraliure so bad, is there anything I should check?
2: When I am in a hardest gear in back should my bar end shifter be facing down or up?

  1. probably just needs some adjustment - you can adjust the cable tension with the barrel adjusters either on the frame or on the rear derailleur. Do a search on the forum, LarryCalifornia posted a pretty good tip on adjusting it.

  2. Pointing down.

As I was writing a response, it occurred to me that this post must be a joke… The answer to the second question should be self-evident. Push the gear and see what happens…

Depends on which way you mounted the barend shifter. They can be mounted in either direction.
