Baker's cyst (1)

I think I’ve got one.

Amputation isn’t an option, what do I do?

If it’s bothering you it can be drained and injected with steroids. That’s what I do for my patients, though keep in mind they often recur.

Thanks for your reply, appreciated.

I have one too. I also have a Ganglion cyst in my knee as well. It keeps reoccurring. Even with a cortisone shot it did not stay away that long. Looking at surgery to remove. Still considering my options.

when I got my knee restructured… they took care of mine. Not like I would have known anyways. My knees are a wreck for basketball and football and soccer anyways.

I had a fairly large ganglion cyst in my hand a few years ago, and opted for surgery to remove it. The surgery itself was fine - but the recovery was a lot harder than I anticipated. My wrist mobility was seriously impacted, and I ended up in PT for quite some time. I also had quite a bit of residual pain and soreness that lasted for a while. Good luck, with whatever you decide!
