Has anybody ever done the Bahamas Half Ironman (on Grand Bahama Island) organized by Endurasport? If so, any comments would be appreciated. Road surface? Traffic? General Organization? Nutrition on Course?

Just returned from Grand Bahama last Sunday. Not a very nice place at all. Really run down, the people are generally rude towards tourists and a can of Diet Coke at the corner market costs $2.50. I wondered about the triathlon that you mentioned there. The ocean was oppressively warm - it nauseated me and I had to settle for the lap pool. The running was nice and flat. Although I didn’t take my bike I saw a guy on a QR TT bike when I was out for a run. Not sure where he does hill repeats around there.
Well 37 people did the half last year, and 8 the full, so you’d be in for a bit of a lonely day.
