It appears after extensive scientific research, that almost all Americans, male and female, young and old, are having premarital sex and have been doing so for quite some time. I guess we have been wasting a lot of money on abstinence programs these last number of years…back to the drawing board.
“The data clearly show that the majority of older teens and adults have already had sex before marriage, which calls into question the federal government’s funding of abstinence-only-until-marriage programs for 12- to 29-year-olds,” Finer said.
Under the Bush administration, such programs have received hundreds of millions of dollars in federal funding.
“It would be more effective,” Finer said, “to provide young people with the skills and information they need to be safe once they become sexually active - which nearly everyone eventually will.”
This would be bad news if they continue to spend on obviously unproductive programs. If the wasteful spending stops it would be good news.
Maybe they can spend the money in Iraq, where they love us so much! I wonder how many of them would admit to premarital sex anyway, especially women???

I went to a Catholic all girl school so we were taught abstinence. My class was relatively small, about 100 girls, by the time we were seniors 12 girls had gotten pregnant.
