Bad job?

How bad is the men’s changing tent at IMLou?

I went to look at the volunteer sign up and there are 14 and 9 slots open, at different times, for men’s changing tent.
Is it that bad of a job?

Never been there as a volunteer but as a racer last, it was very hot, humid and musty. I will be volunteering down at the swim start.

Well, what would the job entail? Would you have to help people…uh…do things? People who aren’t wearing pants?

If it’s T1 you will have to deal with 100’s of athletes in a short period of time, most likely all expecting to be given assistance before anyone else.

If it’s T2 you will have to deal with guys / clothes that stink of sweat, urine, vomit and gatorade.

Take your pick.

I’d pick T1 changing tent.

  1. Not much sweat.
  2. People have more energy… more capable of helping themselves.
  3. If the lead guys come in around 50 minutes, you only have 1.5 hours of volunteer work till T1 is closed down.
  4. Your work day ends early. =)
