Bad breath massage therapist

so I went and got a massage yesterday, first time with this person, a petite girl but good therapist. She had absolutely THE WORST garlic breath imaginiable. Now I love garlic but this was repulsive. It seemed so ingongruous coming outta her. Im really turned off and dont want to go back. Overreacting?
Do I say why? Im sure she would not want to lose business and would like to know why but its touchy.
Oh btw it wasnt a rub n tug, it was a real one.

In Chicago by any chance?

I’m sure we’ve all run into that, and not just with massage therapists. Some people don’t realize things like garlic affect them more than others—I can have garlic and you won’t smell it after a few hours, but my girlfriend even takes a whiff of the stuff and it sticks with her for 48 hours.

So, what to do? Maybe try one more time and see if it’s the same deal…if so, say nothing during the session but drop her an email after. Most likely she won’t even realize the issue and will appreciate it…I think…

“breathmint, maam”
.

did you enjoy the massage? other than the hideous breath? (how could she have not known?) personally, i probably wouldn’t go back unless it was something really great. but, i don’t like massage, so i’m probably not the right person to respond i guess.

I had a farting massge therepist once. Not the hee-hee I had a burritto for lunch kind of gas; but the OMG I don’t think he’s cleared his bowels in 5 days , I’m going to throw up kind of gas. It was horrible.

I’ve had several massages and never gotten close enough to smell their breath. Maybe I’m not getting the right kind?
