Bachelor & other junk TV

Anybody brave enough to admit to watching The Bachelor? Doesn’t he pick his favorite tonight?

There is a large group of us that watch bad TV on here. I tried the Bachelor this season because he is from my area but I just can’t take it. I will likely watch the finale tonight though.

I am a Biggest Loser and American Idol junkie.

I hate to love the show. I can’t help myself. But is it just me, or is he a little too creepy? lol

I am a real moron. I am not that pretty. I am broke. I have issues. That being said if women formed a line to date me for what ever reason I would have to turn them all down. Those women on these “get your man” shows a deeply troubled and psychotic.

There’s something you can’t put your finger on. But I like his voice.

My wife & I usually watch the first few episodes to see how much the girls fight and scowl at each other. But I really wonder about this show…first this guy does not live in Seattle, he lives in Kirkland; Ladies you will not be living in the Space Needle and taking a float plane to work. You will be working at Costco living in a townhouse complex and dealing with Jason’s crazy ex-wife trying schedule pick-up times with little Tai. Second, if this guy is such a catch, why does he need to go on a TV show to find some triffling lot lizard? Wouldn’t most ladies view this as desparation?

By the way, Melissa gets picked. How do I know? A female co-worker pointed out that in the previews of the finale you see the hand of the girl and she is wearing a pinky ring. Guess who the only girl throughout the entire season wears pinky rings?

HOly shit! Are all these bachelor shows fake like this one? I always thought they were mostly real, even though they were pretty hokey. I haven’t ever watched more than a couple minutes in total of it until tonight…

I flipped over there and caught the last 15 minutes when he dumped the final girl & asked the other one to marry him. Then part of the after-party show where they interview the happy couple and the dumpee.

Jesus fuckin christ. That was the fakest crap I ever watched. I flipped right back over to the WWF which had much more realistic story lines & more believable acting.

melissa got picked, but not really.

PEOPLE…ITS A FREAKING TELEVISION SHOW. TV shows are designed for ratings…simple as that. Its all bullshit, with all of the girls I know up in arms about this guy being a dick. Thats just what the TV writers wanted, for you to talk more about it so you will watch the next season. ugh all this fake shit on TV pisses me off.

OMG you can’t design better TV than that.

My husband gave up in disgust half way through the follow-up show. I had to watch the whole thing. I can’t believe it. The shock on both of their faces was awesome.

I think he let the producers know he was calling it quits with Girl 1 long before the follow-up show but they kept it from her until the show. Obviously that was set-up but the girls didn’t know anything.

He is a tool.

He is a tool.

hmmm same opinion as my wife.** **
.

I missed the followup show. What happened?

Also, what was with his breakdown after letting Molly go? That was creepy. This guy seemed okay when the show first started, but now he’s gotten strange. Can’t quite put my finger on it.

Can’t quite put my finger on it. <<

I think the entire thing was scripted and both gals knew what was going to happen. Neither seems too shocked when they walked out and there was no audience. That should have been a big giveaway.

Anybody brave enough to admit to watching The Bachelor?

My wife and I started dating when The First Bachelor show( or was it Bachelorette)aired a number of years ago. It was a regular weekly thing for us. We then watched the subsequent Bachelor/Bachelorette shows, but then stopped watching them after few seasons. We stumbled upon the most recent incarnatiuon several weeks ago by shere chance and watched with interest and also realized that this was a key thing for us during the “early days” for us. Of course we are chastend by the fact that only one of these shows ever lead to marrige( to a triathlete dude, ironically enough!), so we are fully aware that despite all the drama and the hype these things are doomed to failure.

However, this one did have some odd twists and turns right at the end and after the fact that did answer some questions we have always had: “want does happen when the cameras are turned off and these two people do try and go off and forge a life together”?? At least, this time they have been more open about this, and you realize that surprise surprise, people are different in the real world and not on a TV set - eventhough it’s reality TV!! Of coures if you have an once of common-sense you know this, and the dreadful success numbers of the show point out this obvious fact.

That Bachelor is sickeningly sweet. He strikes me as the kind of guy that so many women say is the ideal man, but when it comes right down to it, most women want a guy who is much less sweet and sensitive and more rough around the edges.

I think that guy should have just walked away from both of the women afterwards and just admitted to himself, “OK, I’m super indecisive, and perhaps a television show is not the ideal place for me to pick a bride.” I cannot believe he went ahead and crawled back to Molly with his tail between his legs and asked for a second chance, and she’s giving it to him!

Bring back Andrew Baldwin!!!

I saw part of the final After the Rose show last night. Jason just gets creepier.

Could those women wear any more makeup? Even for TV, they were waaaaaaaaay over-done.
