I am looking to upgrade frames. Assuming that both the Felt B2 and DA fit, is the DA worth the extra $800? I’ve read Tom D’s review on the DA, and all the Felt bikes, and he is very positive on the DA. I just don’t understand the big difference. Geometry is only minimally different. Can anyone comment on the difference in handling? I will ride in flat to rolling races, and I currently have the S22.
The Felt DA is the sexiest aluminum frame on the planet. Period.
If you are up grading from an S22 frame I wouldn’t waste the money on the b2. The differences would be minimal at best. Here’s my take:
The Felt DA weighs less,
It’s got better graphics,
It comes stock with a better fork,
It is more aero,
and it looks more profesional.
The B2 is a fine frame, but I think the DA would be the way to go.
Another point worth mentioning may be that they are manufactured in different places. The DA has been predominantly US built while the B2 frame is off-shore production.
The differences in the seatpost and seatpost clamp assembly are worth noting too.
