I recently had to send in a Polar RS400SD with the S1 Footpod for warranty service…there was a lot of signal dropout from the footpod to the watch (it was reading all 0s so much during Rockman that at the end it was a full mile off), and the lower right button was borderline unuseable, it was so stiff. My wife mailed it in for me on June 11, and by June 18th they had received it, looked at, and mailed me a brand spankin’ new set. Haven’t gotten it back yet, but that’s pretty darn good customer service if you ask me. Kudos to Polar.
In Sweden they customer service is awesome. My footpod had a failure, I went to their office, without receipt. And said it was broken. I gave me a new one and nicely instructions how to not break my new one(instead of saying your stupid f***, don’t use exessive force, instead pull up the on button before you slam in the yellow pack into the holder). They have also giving me new cd’s for new operating system and cadence sensor package when got broken. All within one day! Excellent is the only word I can find to describe their service. Guess what our household got two sx625 and one s720.
I used to be a dealer/rep for them, but am not anymore (just to disclose my affiliation). They handled every complaint any of my retailers had nearly instantaniously.
Even now that I don’t get a discount I use their products!
