Anyone try this shoe? Or one step better, anyone run in this shoe AND the DS Trainer from asics? I don’t care for the updates to the 14s, and am looking for something closer to the 10-13s. Currently running in the asics speedstar, and although I can wear both neutral and mild stability, I tend to prefer the stability.
If you have tried the avi lite, how does it fit? Does it run true to running shoe size, or street shoe size? Models similar to?
Have run in both (although have not run in the DS 14 - think the toe box is meant to be a bit wider in the 14 than it was in the 13 which I found a bit cramped). The Avi Lite II comes in lighter than the DS but have found it to offer slightly more stability control and has good feel and comfort through the forefoot. The lightness I think comes from the stripped down upper - which feels good on the feet. Size wise for me anyway I think they run true to running shoe size - they fit more like an older version of the DS before the toe box was altered…which then almost felt a half size too small. I would say longevity of both the DS and Avi Lite II is about the same - both lightweight stability trainers
Recommend giving the Avi a try if you like the DS
