has anyone done the math or know what the avg finish times are for an IM? Not exactly but a range.
I thought I saw a thread on here about it in th epast but can’t seem to find it.
it’s easier to look at the median time.

Interestingly, except for Ariz. April the median time approximates the halfway point, time wise, between 1st and last, a result I wouldn’t I would not have predicted.

I cant find myself on Ironzip…pretty sure I have done a race or two.
Agreed…I would have thought 13-14 hrs at least.
There was a reason that that April IMAZ '08 had the 2nd highest DNF rate (or something comparably ugly)
of any NAS IM.
It was very hot and very windy. DNF ended up at close to 17%.
Of course I was under the median. Regrettably, I did IMAZ in November, which means I didn’t have those
conditions and was slow compared to the median.
