weather forecast here is mid 70s- mid 80s for the rest of the week. It’s hard for me to imagine some of you poor guys and gals as still stuck on your treadmills and trainers. Plenty of great places to ride and run around town depending on where you’re staying. Check out the Cap 10k if you’re gonna be here the last weekend in March and feel like doing a run through downtown.

Shop ride every Saturday 8:30am. I promise you will have a high heart rate.

learn this route well and draw yourself a little map beforehand to refer to after your dreams are crushed and you are all alone

This isnt a “let’s hold hands” ride. Its a “let’s drop the new guy” ride.

If you can’t stick with the lead pack wthin the next 6 weeks then I am afraid you cant come into the store anymore.

Rules are rules. We had to fire a guy because he couldnt hang.

Town Lake Hike & Bike Trail is a great place to run. There is a 5, 7, or 10 mile loop. The surface is crushed granite.

A local running shop keeps coolers of water at a couple locations on the trail.

I don’t even know if I can hang yet, i was staying back with the fiancee!

but she is coming along!

she just posted the fastest bike split of all the women, and most of the men, at the triathlon in Houston on sunday =). You guys should give her a free aero helmet, and make her wear it (good luck getting her too!)

and I had fastest bike split period.

which means I need to head back up to your sat ride for some humble pie

Nice…my fiancee and I took the overall male/female at a small duathlon in SA this past weekend.

We should have a couples race!!!

awesome, I just did the relay so didn’t get to compete for the overall victory, it would have been close, I can’t run like the winner thats for sure. I think with me as a carrot in front of him he would have chased me down for sure :frowning:

The Austin Tri Cyclist ride is a great one, but it is “no joke”! These dudes are fast and furious. They will drop you like a bad habit. There is a climb at the beginning of the ride that seems to go for about 3 or 4 miles. If you can hang with them through that you should be ok. I am usually in the front of the pack in my rides here in Dallas (avg 21-22), and these guys embarrased me. Zilker park is another great place to ride/run. Enjoy Austin. It’s a great city!

I will be there for the first two weeks of April and have a huge training vacation planned. let me know if you want in
