Aussies in Le Tour!

This is a blatant and unashamed cheer for all the Aussie lads rolling around France at the moment.

Baden on the podium, Stuey O’Grady on the breakaway, Brad McGee in yellow as lead-out for Cookie, and Robbie McEwan still in with a show for green (although not riding as well as we had all hoped), Rogers fourth in a stage in his first tour. Love it!!

But I have to admit - our accent in the interviews makes me cringe a bit, but their honesty does make for some funny interviews…

O’Grady, exhausted after his 200km unsuccessful breakaway - “220kms of hills. God help me.”

And think what could have been if Cadel Evans could stay upright . . .

Maybe we could stop to consider a Tour like the old days - based on country of nationality. Seems as though the boys from Down Under could get a reasonable team together - good mix of TTer’s, sprinters, a few who can climb. Maybe organise Foster’s Brewing as a team sponsor, with a lifetime for free product to any of the team who wins a stage/jersey/etc.

Mmmm, beer…

OK, now I am just dreaming…
