Attaching Tub and stuff under the saddle

I am doing my 1st half and wondered do most people use saddle bags or tape the stuff some how under the saddle (pics would be appreciated)?

I have a saddle bag which can just about fit a tub in and probably a couple of gas cans and the crack pipe for my disk. I also want to take a can of sealant - I guess I could tape this to the bottom of the bag?

I am abviously want the stuff to be secure, as aero as possible and most importanly not rub my legs.

The Van Dessel Seatpost is less than half an inch wide. You can’t “hide” much there, whereas the headtube is over 1.25" wide, so you can hide stuff in the turbulent air behind it.
