I am in search of the “perfect” rain jacket. Light weight, folds up small, breathable, and waterproof. I have heard good things about the Assos Climajet jacket. Does anyone here use it, or have an opinion on it?

i ride in one, and its great, but its to damn expensive, check out the giordana (sp) version of the assos high -tech fabric half the price :^)

I have one and really like it but if you get one buy from the UK. Even with the GBP at $1.82 it’s still significantly cheaper from there.
What I actually like best is the Climajet Bib that just covers your front and neck. It’s $65 in the US (I got one free from sigmasport in the uk when I got some other assos stuff). I use it way more than the full bore jacket and it folds up very small. Works well in cold weather too. If it’s too cold or wet for that to be enough I tend to not want to go out anyway.
save your money. too delicate, the pit vents let water in the sleeves, mine discolored after a year. i’ve lived in ireland for four years, so i know what it’s like to cycle in the rain. regardless of the jacket, you will get wet. i’d go with a lightweight goretex model for the durability/breathability.
