I am in the process of changing out my basebar/aerobar combination to a fully integrated set. Of course, the question arises: “To carbon, or not to carbon?” Aside from the bling factor and weight savings of carbon - I am more interested in reducing the road vibrations as there are a lot of concrete roads in this area. Has anyone seen a great reduction in road vibrations switching from aluminum to carbon basebar/aerobars? Same question for swapping out the seatpost to carbon.
Is my money better spent elsewhere than going with carbon bits on my aluminum-framed bike?
