Asics Noosafast feedback

I’ve raced the last couple of years in the Brooks T7’s and no matter what I do, they tear my feet up. These look promising but thought I would see if anyone has logged any miles in them and could provide some feedback?

I love these shoes! you can’t hardly tell you have shoes on your feet! I was a fan of the Asics hyperspeed until I tried these and now all I want to race in are the Noosafast! Light, flexible, soft interior, breathe well, lace fast, I don’t have one downside to this shoe.

Any issues going sockless in them?

Weird. Every Asics shoe I have every worn tore my feet up even with socks on. SOckless in Asics would grind my feet to the bone.

I weigh 180, wide foot & a mid-foot striker. These shoes are my 5k, 10k (sprint + Oly) and track/speed workout go-2 shoe. Sockless all the time with a little bit of baby powder! No blisters & race-ready out of the box. The only thing that should concern you as looking at your feet while running! (they are great looking shoe!)

Thanks for posting! I was thinking about posting on these shoes the other day, but was too chicken to start my own thread!

My current tri shoe is the first gen. zoot ultra TT. I have a crap ton of miles on them and would continue racing them except that the insole is trashed (the fabric glued to the foam is gone and I have to body glide the insole every time I use them to prevent blisters on my arches) and the rubber sole has gotten shiny slick and offers no more traction, especially on wet surfaces.

People have mentioned that the sockless ware is good. How easy are they to get on, do you use the included elastic laces or aftermarket laces like yanks? This looks like it could be my replacement.

Some wear differently than others. I always go sockless, and have worn the DS Trainers, DS Racers, Gel Lyte-33’s, and Piranha SP4’s. The Trainers, Lytes, and Piranhas have never given me problems, but the Racers always give me a “pre-blister” or blister that runs parallel with my instep (depending on how long of a run I’m wearing them for). I’m phasing these out of my shoe lineup so I wear them less frequently, meaning my feet are less accustomed to the abrasion pattern and thus more susceptible to blistering.

Basically, not all asics are created equally, but here’s an N=1 that says that most work well for me sockless.

Thanks for all the input. I just ordered a pair, so I’ll give them a shot and post back once I get a couple of runs in with them.

I like the shoes, but did my first run in them sockless and ripped up some skin on my 2nd smallest toe. The stitching where the tongue connects rubbed on the toe. Since then I’ve run in socks in them - they seem pretty cushy for their weight. I may try them again sockless now that they’re worn in a bit.
