I see nothing wrong with this.
Which is the part you don’t agree with?

When do we get to the horseshit part of the article?
Seems like sound practical advice, sure there are plenty that come across this concept on their own. But there are also many folks out there that I hear gasping when I go by them that could use some better breathing technique.
Agree with the above posters. If you read Daniels’ literature on running, he goes into some detail about the relationship between breathing and stride rate, and how you can use your breath to gauge a proper pace at a given point during certain races.
Seems like a legit topic to me! No worries, though–I know I’ve posted my fair share of topics on this forum that haven’t exactly been lauded.
Most of it makes sense. It is a bit amusing that Rule 7 is this formula for number of footsteps per inhale and exhale — 3 steps per inhale, 2 for exhale … who thinks about this, other than math majors, maybe? And this is immediately followed up with Rule 8: Don’t overthink your breathing.
I’d skip Rule 7 and go directly to Rule 8.
No breathing in through the nose as I hear some people do (albeit surely not at a high heart rate)?
I have had some WICKED stitches during my last race and am starting to think that breathing is related to it.
