I’m looking for a physical therapist in the Minneapolis area highly skilled in the art of ART. Any MN’ers out there that can recommend one? Soft tissue issues prematurely ended this season and I need to get rolling (pun intended) on training for next season and would really like to avoid the same issues.
Thanks!
Try the ART website http://www.activerelease.com/index.asp? you can look up by zip code and find one in your area.
As a triathlete, make sure you find one that is certified in upper and lower extremity, and if possible one that has a tri background also.
Is ART the same as a neuromuscular massage therapist? Just curious. I know my therapist has doen conders when I’ve had issues thsi last year. I’m lucky as hell to have someone skileld in such a small community. Everyone else just does the usual cookie cutter techniques that feel nice but have little real benefit to muscle release and recovery.
Good luck. IF I coudl afford ot go weekly, I bet I could increase my training load by at least 10% or more this season. Double if I could go daily and had time for that.
