FYI to those training for IMLou or anyone in need of ART in KY - I just returned from a training trip in KY and met a Chiropractor specializing in ART. If you aren’t familiar with ART - check out http://www.activerelease.com/about.asp. I would rank ART above deep tissue massage, grastons, and general chiropractic care (IMHO) - and would definately recommend if you are suffering from the typical late season aches and pains.

Just curious based on your name, but do you know of any good ART chiros in Madison? I’m considering it for some knee/hip/IT band issues i haven’t been able to kick.
I know Dr. Aberle is certified but he says he prefers to do grastons. I actually have a deep tissue massage therapist that I use at Capital Fitness gym downtown instead. If Dr. Sullivan (the ART specialist from KY) were here, I would be using him. He is an Ironman triathlete and knows what we are going through… He said he is actually considering starting a satellite clinic here in Madison sometime in the next year - which would be cool…

A chiropractor friend of mine is considering traveling to Madison the week before Ironman to do some work on athletes doing the race or those who have been training this summer for other events. If he can schedule time with at least 10 people during that week (Sept 3-7), he will offer the following: 3 appointments - approx 40 minutes each, to include ART specific work (see http://www.activerelease.com/about.asp) , chiropractic adjustments (if needed) , and other e-stim, stretching, heat, etc… Dr. Mike Sullivan is an Ironman finisher, and long time triathlete.
