Got done about an hour ago with 100 mile ride. Yesterday was 75 miles. I’ve been laying my bed for about 30 minutes or so. I got up to try and go get something to eat from the kitchen. I fell on my ass. My legs are trashed. This training for an IM is overrated.
Eggs are my favorite breakfast food.
I’m with you. I did two loops of the MOO course on Wed. and three loops on Thurs. and climbing the stairs back to my condo when I got home sucked. I only made one trip and left half of my gear and the bike rack down on the car and figured I’d get it the next day (this is a risky move considering the dumpsters in our alley are pretty popular with the homeless crowd and I wouldn’t put it past someone to take the bike rack just for the hell of it).
One of at least two things is up here.
Either you rode those miles hard (maybe too hard), or an Ironman is going to be a real reach! If you’re going to crank out volume, isn’t it supposed to be relatively easy stuff?

Pretty hard miles. Yesterday was mostly inland by escondido and it was pretty hot, around 100 I think? With a good bit of climbing. Today was a hard start, 8 laps on Torrey Pines, then north along the 101. The wind was all kinds of fun today. I am pretty much trashed from riding harder then I should have. But, I am still 11 weeks out.
slacker!! you shoulda started off with the swamis ride, then did 8 laps around Torrey Pines anad then North along the 101 lol
