Are you four years older now than you were four years ago?

I am, but I don’t feel that way.

Thanks, Obama!

What about Mrs. Duffy?

What about Mrs. Duffy?

In her bikini wetsuit and pigtails it’s hard to tell.

I’m forever 12 in my head.

My body has enough miles on it to be 60, but my brain never matured past 16. but according to my driver’s license, yes I am technically four years older.

It seems to living with Duffy would age a person.

I know what you mean, I feel at least eight years older.

This is something I was planning to touch on. I’m still young both in relative and absolute terms but the older I get the more I notice that “older people” are really just children. The only difference is that of course in most cases they have to be more self-sufficient which means working instead of going to school and a couple other things and maybe that prevents them from acting childish more often, but whenever they get the chance it becomes very apparent that physical maturity doesn’t equal actual “maturity”. Case in point; the Lavender Room.

I had this epiphany at about 24. I was getting into real estate development and had two partners that were in their mid-late 40’s, both multi-millionaires and kind of my role models/mentors at that point in my life. I thought that age and experience had confided in them maturity, stability, and in an intelligence I simply did not have, and that they could do no wrong. As we spent more time together, seeing how they acted like stupid teenagers with women (both were single), made stupid business and personal decisions all the time made me realize that age had not inherently made them *better men. *They had pretty much lucked into significant financial success (got into two industries at exactly the right time) and otherwise were kind of a mess; they are total boneheads. We’re still great friends, and my wife even works for one of them now, but I was born more mature then they will ever be and both of them will tell you that in a heartbeat.

I have two kids aged 10 and 12. I wish I was only 4 years older…

Well i have only had one birthday in the last 4 years, so i guess i win….Thanks Obama for not screwing up leap year too…

We have a winner…just one birthday in four years?!? Someone needs to investigate! At this rate you’ll live until 2250 (or thereabouts) and what the hell kind of SS and Medicare payouts will you be getting by then? Stop gaming the system monty, think of the children.

Bastard! I missed leap year by 1 day.

Yes. In much better shape, but definitely older.

I am, turned 36 yesterday. Dammit.

I aged like a president over the last four years. From 35 to late 40s, at least.

I am 4 years older and 6 years slower.

Greg

According to my drivers licence photo, I am ten years younger. I will still ride on it for another five years, even if my weight increases by another ten pounds.

May be older, but I am smarter & wiser also!

Wiser, maybe. Smarter, no.
