Are there any mountains in Denmark?

Did Ras grow up there, or did he move there?

Where did he learn to climb mountains - I was under the impression that all of Denmark is flat.

No mountains, that is why he needs to go to Mexico to train.

I believe that his wife is Spanish or Mexican…He trains in Mexico, and the climbs there make the tour climbs all look like cat 3 climbs…In Mexico you climb fro 10 to 20 miles, and end up at 13,000+ ft…

Apparently the highest point is 176 meters above sea level. Not much climbing.

We have hills, but most certainly no mountains…

I heard he lives in Italy most of the year.

The Scandinavians love to poke fun at each other.

I had a Norwegian friend who told a joke about a bus tour in Denmark. The driver announced to the tourists that the bus was coming to the highest point in Denmark. The bus then hits a “bump” on the road. The driver stops the bus to put it in reverse so he can drive back over the bump to show it to the tourists again.

In otherwards Denmark is fairly flat. And I’m sure the Danes have some good jokes about the Norwegians (and Swedes).

yes, yes. 176 Meter is our mighty “mountain” Ejer Baunehøj allright. Allthough it is actually only so high as a 16 meter hill was built upon it to top the competing mountain: Yding Skovhøj which was about 1 meter taller…

but lets not forget our other proud high peaks, these statements are actual hill-hights, without man-made earthpiles or antennas on top
**1. Møllehøj * 170,86 meter ** **2. Yding Skov 170,77 meter ** **3. Ejer Bavnehøj 170,35 meter ** **4. Lindbjerg 170,08 meter ** **5. Margretelyst SØ ** 169,78 meter ** **6. Vistofte 169,44 meter ** **** We do have a lot of wind to make up for our lack of mountains… **** Regards from the Danish Viking

Denmark is as flat as Holland, but that didn’t stop Dutch riders from winning the Alp d’Huez stage at least ten times in the Tour de France, nor keep big Dutchman Michael Boogerd from pacing El Pollo Flaco up the steep Pyrenean climbs.

I’m sure the flatlander climbers live and train in mountainous areas.
