I am looking at some older used Zipp wheels from the mid 90’s. owner uses an 8 speed cassette and isn’t sure if 9 speed will work. whaddayathink?
yep, just take the 8 speed cassette off and stick on a 9 speed!

This might be true for Shimano, but is not the case for Campy. But maybe this demonstrates my ignorance regarding older Zipp wheels in that maybe they didn’t make a Campy 8 spd hub wheel, just used a conversion cassette?
